About Summit 250
What It Takes to Have an Accountable Government
Summit 250 is a working summit--not a typical conference. The loss of institutional knowledge and life-long public service careers affects every American.

We must imagine a better future together. That is why we're convening former federal professionals, academics, nonprofit leaders, civic innovators, and students to discuss two urgent questions:

-
How do we collectively understand the problem of massive cuts to the civil service and what they mean for government integrity, performance, and its capacity to deliver the services the public expects and the nation needs?
-
How do we collectively understand the long-term outcomes of current challenges to independent oversight and what that means for trust in government?
This gathering marks the beginning of a long-term effort to build shared solutions and stronger institutions through dialogue and cross-sector collaboration that will lead to action.

Together, we’ll explore how understanding what makes this moment unique can help to shape effective strategies.
We’ll work in small groups, surface real solutions, and leave with tangible next steps. A post-summit report will capture what we learn and help carry the work forward.

We’re not just thinking about governance for today, we’re charting a path forward for the next 250 years.

About the Hosts
For 250 More™ is made up of thinkers and doers who know how to solve problems. Founded by former federal oversight professionals, it strengthens institutional integrity and government accountability. As public watchdogs on the inside, the founders served the American people by fighting fraud, waste, and abuse—and promoting better government. Now they mobilize that expertise on the outside by surfacing real-world problems, catalyzing civic capacity, and uniting across sectors and ideologies to drive innovative solutions.
The Society of Policy Scientists—with a legacy rooted in rigorous, multidisciplinary analysis—advances human dignity worldwide. Its members bring decades of front-line experience navigating complex governance challenges. From climate resilience and food security to high-stakes conflicts over natural resources and nation-building, they tackle some of the world’s toughest challenges, bringing clarity to problems for purposeful solutions.
